PHOENIX, AZ — The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (AZHCC) and 12 News have partnered to promote the chamber’s 47th Annual Black and White Ball to be held Saturday, April 23, 2005 at the Arizona Biltmore, 2400 E. Missouri Ave.
“We are pleased that 12 News will be our media sponsor and help us promote our signature event,” said Harry Garewal, President and CEO. “We want to take this event to the next level and we feel that this partnership does that.”
“The people and businesses honored at the Ball, as well as the educational programs and seminars made possible by the Ball’s proceeds, make a significant, positive impact on the Valley,” said 12 News General Manager John Misner. “All of us at 12 News are pleased to play a role in this prestigious event.”

12 News anchors Lin Sue Cooney and Mark Curtis will be the emcees for the evening. The chamber will also present its Second Annual Business Awards as part of the festivities. Awards for Man, Woman, Corporation and Entrepreneur of the Year will be the highlight of the evening. More than 1,000 people are expected to attend the Black and White Ball, which is one of the oldest formal events in the valley, dating back to 1958.
The Black and White Ball is the biggest fundraising event of the year for the AZHCC. Proceeds go to support the educational programs and seminars that the chamber puts on throughout the year for its membership.
