ANNOUNCES BOARD MEMBERS FOR 2004
Phoenix, AZ The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (AZHCC) has announced its board of directors for 2004 following the organizations recent election process. Lydia Aranda, Director of Small Business Services for the Arizona Department of Commerce, Chris Hernandez, President of The Hernandez Companies, and Deanna Salazar, Vice President of Human Resources and Employee Development, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona have been elected to the board.
Incumbents re-elected are Al Montoya, Wells Fargo; Phillip Becerra, Aztec Printing; David Cavazos, City of Phoenix Aviation Department; Ray Arvizu, Arvizu Advertising and Promotions; Frank Rivera, ATL Inc.; Teresa Ornelas, Great Gifts and Promotions; and Marty Alvarez, Sun Eagle Corporation. Board members appointed by Chairman Al Montoya are: Gonzalo De La Melena, Senior Brand Manager, The Dial Corporation; and Gary Trujillo, Southwest Harvard Group.
The 2004 Executive Committee is Chaired by Al Montoya of Wells Fargo; Phillip Becerra of Aztec Printing Solutions is Chair-elect; Israel G. Torres from the Arizona Registrar of Contractors is Vice Chairman; Manny Molina of Molina Media Group is Secretary; JoEllen Lynn of American Express is the Treasurer; and Frank Rivera of ATL, Inc. is Immediate Past Chair.
The remainder of the board consists of Dino Camunez, Bank One of Arizona; Reuben B. Gonzales, State Farm Insurance; Alejandro Reynoso, AR Utility Specialists; and Armando G. Roman, Roman and Company, C.P.A.s;
The newly-elected board members will serve a three-year term while the appointed board members will serve a one-year term.
The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (AZHCC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the efforts of the local business community, especially small business owners. Furthermore, the AZHCC provides a voice for Hispanic businesses in the Valley through advocacy efforts at the local, state and national level.
