Phoenix, AZ – The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (AZHCC) has partnered with Phoenix-based Merchants Information Solutions to offer a Spanish-version credit report available to the state’s Hispanic population.  Consumers can get their Experian Spanish-language Premier Credit Report by visiting the AZHCC’s website at www.azhcc.com and clicking on the “Premier Information Center,LLC” link under the resource section of the website.

The goal is to break language barriers and address local needs.  “We are always looking for ways to improve people’s access to information,” said Russ Johnson, president of Merchants.  “Every American should have access to their credit histories.”

The United States has the fifth largest Hispanic population, about 30 million people. Of them, 86 percent say Spanish is their first language (source:  American Demographics).

The need for credit information is at an all-time high; Hispanic buying power is growing several times faster than the rate of inflation.  In fact, Hispanic spending power is expected to reach $926 billion by 2007, according to research by the University of Georgia and the Pew Hispanic Center in Washington.
