ARIZONA HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ANNOUNCES EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
PHOENIX, AZ — The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (AZHCC) has elected its executive board for 2005. Israel Torres, director of the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, is the newly-elected board chair; Gonzalo de la Melena of Southwest Harvard Group is vice-chair; Chris Hernandez, Hernandez Companies, is treasurer; Teresa Ornelas, Great Impact! is secretary. Former chair Al Montoya, Wells Fargo, is now immediate past chairman.
“I’m excited and enthusiastic about moving forward with our new executive board,” said Harry Garewal, President and CEO. “We have accomplished much under the leadership of former board chair Al Montoya. I know that our new executive board will continue the good work that has begun and focus on moving the AZHCC forward in becoming the premier organization for Hispanic businesses in the state of Arizona.”
