A Message from the President and CEO
Hola and bienvenidos to the second edition of Comercio, the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerces official newsletter. We are happy to have some advertisers join us and we hope that you would continue to look at all of the opportunities for promotion that we offer to our members. In addition to advertising in Comercio, we also offer banner ads on our website. The AZHCC is all about promoting our members and their respective businesses. When we get calls in the office, we always recommend member businesses first.
This message finds us right in the middle of our planning for the Black and White Ball. We will need every bit of our volunteers to help out with the silent auction and various duties during the event. If you would like to get involved, we ask you to call us and join the volunteer committee. It would be a great way for you to give back to our organization.
On another note, you will see our Public Policy Committee get more involved in issues of concern for local businesses and the Hispanic community in general. In this issue, we have published our tenets on what we feel are important points to be included in any guest worker legislation. We welcome the input of our members on this and any other issues you feel are important. The AZHCC strives to provide a voice for our membership and also to be a driving force amongst the many Latino organizations that make up this great state of ours.
To that end, I have personally visited communities such as Yuma and Casa Grande and met with the various Hispanic business leaders of those communities in order to gauge the interest of furthering the reach of the AZHCC into those areas of the state. After all, we are the ARIZONA Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
I thank you for your support and well see you all at the Black and White Ball.
