AZHCC Transforming Your Future



The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce proudly operates four integrated scholarship programs through innovative partnerships that account for total combined awards of about $135,000 annually. Our goal is to invest in the future of the community by preparing aspiring business majors, professionals and small business owners for the challenges of the future economy.

The Chamber’s scholarship program is designed to offer students opportunities at a variety of educational institutions from community college to graduate level programs. We are dedicated to building educational partnerships and opportunities within the business sector and Hispanic community.

Future Business Leader Scholarship
Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund provides $5000 awards to incoming juniors in business majors at NCA Accredited schools in Arizona. The students will be paired with a mentor and given opportunities to participate in internships with Chamber members. The goal of the scholarship is to support and guide the next generation of business owners, managers and leaders for a better Arizona.
 
Eligibility:
• Undergraduate with a declared major in a business college at an North Central Association Accredited college or university in Arizona with an intent to pursue a career in business. You can see the list of accredited schools here: http://www.ncahlc.org/
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 in previously completed college studies.
• One parent must be of Hispanic heritage
• Will be starting junior or senior year of undergraduate studies
• Must be accepted into and enrolled in a Bachelor degree business program.
• Must enroll full-time.

The awarded student must meet all of the above criteria, and in addition, preference will be given to the student who also:
1) is a dependent of or employee of a company that is a member of the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Search to see if you or a parent’s company is a member: http://azhcc.com/members.php
2) has an ADA recognized physical disability

Award:
$5000, distributed in two equal payments at the start of each semester. The award is renewable for one additional year if the student meets the requirements for renewal.

University of Phoenix® AZHCC Emerging Business Leader Scholarship
University of Phoenix and the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (AZHCC) offer one (1) full-tuition scholarship for prospective students to complete an undergraduate or masters degree program at University of Phoenix. Recipients may choose to attend a University of Phoenix on-ground campus or online program. Applicants must be high potential employee of an Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Los Amigos Corporate Member.

University of Phoenix® AZHCC Small Business Enterprise Scholarship
University of Phoenix and the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (AZHCC) offer one (1) full-tuition scholarship to a prospective student to complete an undergraduate or masters degree program at the University of Phoenix. Recipients may choose to attend a University of Phoenix on-ground campus or online program. Applicants must be a small business owner (principal) and a member of the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

MCCD Career Builder Scholarship
The Maricopa Community Colleges District (MCCD) and the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (AZHCC) offer one (1) full-tuition scholarship valued at $2,500 a year to a prospective student to complete a two-year associates degree at one of its 10 campuses. Recipients may choose to attend an on-campus or online program. Applicants must be a small business owner (principal) and a member of the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
