Carmen Martinez

Carmen G. Martinez Barrios is a innovative designer who has more than 20 years of progressive experience in graphic design. She began her career in Hermosillo, Sonora, MX, working with multiple mediums and has significant experience in applying her detailed knowledge of business and management principles to direct art and design national advertising campaigns for a varied list of clients.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Northwest University, Hermosillo, Sonora MX in November 1999. Not only is she licensed in the field of Graphic Design, she was awarded the Licensed Graphic Designer title by the Mexican Secretary of Public Education on May 17, 2000. She has also taken several courses toward a Masters in Business Administration.

Carmen has also been the Master Designer for the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce since 2011. In her new role as VP, Brand Management, she is responsible for building and managing the brand strategy, positioning, voice, media and execution. She has created and developed the design and concept for the Chamber’s most important events during this period: DATOS, The Black & White Ball and Business Awards, Business Diversity Summit, Membership Package, DATOS Tucson Luncheon, Health Fair, AZHCC Empowerment Series, Extension Logos. Her remarkable work for the Chamber includes but is not limited to programs, signage, banners, menus, place cards, power point presentations and more.
